On May 5–6, 2026, the ANELIS Plus Consortium hosted a professional gathering that brought together representatives of national consortia from Central and Eastern Europe (Czech Republic, Croatia, Lithuania, Hungary, and Romania), continuing a tradition initiated by the EISZ Consortium (Hungary).
The event included dedicated consortium discussions and direct dialogue with publishing partners on topics such as APC validation, transformative agreements, and the use of AI in subscribed resources.
On May 5, ANELIS Plus also organized a meeting with international partner publishers at Babeș-Bolyai University (Cluj-Napoca). Representatives from major publishers, including:
IEEE
Elsevier Health
Wiley
Cambridge University Press
Springer Nature
Taylor & Francis
IOP
EBSCO
Science
Royal Society of Chemistry
presented key updates on Open Access, publishing trends, and artificial intelligence in research and healthcare.
The ANELIS Plus team thanks all participants and speakers for their contributions and remains confident that this collaborative format supports progress in both access to scientific information and scholarly publishing.
